RELAIS & CHATEAUX


「RELAIS & CHATEAUX」 is a chain organization which only
the best restaurants and hotels are permitted to become a member. ENOTECA
PINCHIORRI TOKYO has become an official member of RELAIS & CHATEAUX in
January 2002. ENOTECA PINCHIORRI was the nineth to become a member in
Japan, however, it was more an epoch-making to be the first member among
many Italian restaurant outside Italy. 「RELAIS & CHATEAUX」started in
1954, by owners of 「HOSTELLERIE LA CARDINAL」 in Ardeche, France. After
opening 「RELAIS DE CAMPAGNE」,they apealed to the seven hotels on the road
from Paris to Cote D'azur to join. RELAIS & CHATEAUX now has 452 restaurants
and hotels as members, in 47 countries. 1,200,000 copies of international
guide book is published in four languages, english, germany, french and
spanish. And also has web site on internet including Japanese version.
Restaurants and hotels has to clear five quality requirements to become
a member which are "Courtoisie−HOSPITALITY "Charm−CHARM ""Caractere−CHARACTER"
"Calme−CALM "Cuisine−FOOD". Clearing these requirements certifie the best
restaurant or hotel.

「GRAND AWARDS」
Wine spectator magazine, published in NY, has influence on the wine
market. They take the census of the numbers and selections of wines,
how they are stored, quality, sommelier's knowledge, the best food
to match the wine, hospitality, interior, professionality etc. And
award is given to the best restaurant in the world. Wine spectator's
GRAND AWARDS is said to be equivalent to Michelin's three stars.

Selected to be an horner restaurant and awarded by the
president of Italy, supported by ministry of agriculture and department
of foreign affairs and trade. 108 restaurants in 38 countries were
awarded for render to great services to italian food culture.

「FIRST CHAO ITALIA, THE BEST WINE LIST AWARD」 was given
by 「CHAO ITALIA」,restaurant associaton authorized by the Italian
government, for great quality of food, wine, and ambience.

Won a championship of「THE FIRST ICCJ COOKING GRAND PRI」
an Italian cooking competition, held by Italian chamber of commerce
and industry in Japan.
